Town centre office hub Vulcan Works is calling for local charities to express their interest in partnering up for the annual summer fundraising initiative, Charity Tuesdays.
In the months of June, July and August the Northampton workspace offers free hotdesking in its coworking space every Tuesday, in exchange for a nominal charity donation to benefit local worthwhile causes.
Since conception, Vulcan Works has raised hundreds of pounds for local organisations including Cynthia Spencer Hospice, the Northamptonshire Community Foundations’ Family Food Aid Appeal, Breast Friends and Baby Basics.
The centre is now looking for three charities to support in 2026 – one for each of the summer months.
Entries should include the name of the charity and a short introduction. In May, the Vulcan Works team will review all submissions and select the three charities who will benefit this year.
The Vulcan Works coworking space is one of a number of business services offered by the workspace, which also provides lettable office space, workshops, meeting rooms and business support events.
For anyone who would like to use the coworking space more regularly, the team offer a Coworking Membership which is perfect for those seeking a long term community working environment, or ad-hoc drop in hotdesking.
Centre manager Garrick Hurter said: “We’re thrilled to be offering our Charity Tuesdays initiative for the third consecutive year. It is fantastic how many incredible charities we have already been able to support and we look forward to hearing about more local causes doing wonderful work in our town that would benefit from a boost.
“If you are part of an amazing charity that would like to partner with us, please do get in touch and share your story. We can’t wait to hear from you!”
If you’d like your charity to be considered, simply send a message to Vulcan Works on social media or email rvulcanworks@oxin.co.uk with the subject line “Charity Tuesday”.
