VULCAN CREATIVES: ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
With places limited, we have a few expectations of our programme participants to help us ensure they have all the qualities needed for entrepreneurial success.
Northamptonshire
Residents
The programme is designed for individuals aged 18 and above with an interest in exploring their own business ventures. Applicants must be Northamptonshire residents.
An Appetite
for Success
Applicants must demonstrate openness to new ideas and an ambition for business growth, with an attitude that is ready to embrace the process of becoming enterprise-ready.
Six Month
Commitment
Applicants must commit a minimum of 2 days per week for the duration of the 6-month programme, and actively engage in 1:1 business support and coaching activities.
Support Local
Enterprise
Participants will promote the Vulcan Works Creative Hub and consider employing local staff, offering work placement opportunities, and supporting social enterprises – where possible.
Our programme is being funded by West Northants Council using the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF), a central pillar of the UK government’s ambitious Levelling Up agenda and a significant component of its support for places across the UK. It provides £2.6 billion of new funding for local investment by March 2025, with all areas of the UK receiving an allocation from the Fund via a funding formula rather than a competition.
It will help places right across the country deliver enhanced outcomes and recognises that even the most affluent parts of the UK contain pockets of deprivation and need support.
One of the Fund’s core investments is funding and supporting local businesses and communities that will enable businesses to thrive, innovate and grow.
