Legal Basics For Early-Stage Businesses

A legal workshop delivered by Barclays Eagle Labs in partnership with HCR Hewitsons
Join us at Vulcan Works in Northampton for a morning where we will cover how to navigate some of the legal issues, traps and pitfalls involved in running a business. The event is delivered in partnership with the highly experienced legal professionals at HCR Hewitsons.
Topics to be covered include the following:
- Commercial (20 mins + 10 mins Q+A) – Understanding GDPR, handling customer data and Terms of Business
- Real Estate (15 mins + 10 mins Q+A) – Leases, Tenant Rights and Landlord responsibilities
- Employment (15 mins + 10 mins Q+A) – Your responsibilities as an employer
- Corporate (15 mins + 10 mins Q+A) – The different types of company structure and Shareholder Agreements (Private equity and company exits if time permits)
The workshop content is expected to take around 60 minutes with time for some questions at the end of each topic.
